A Little About Ginger

Ginger Johnson has a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga and a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Washington University. She is licensed through the Washington Department of Health as a domestic violence specialist & counselor.  Ginger is a Domestic Violence Court and community advocate, and a WA state-certified Domestic Violence Perpetrator Treatment Provider. She also has a certificate in Servant Leadership.

It’s her mission to help people find the right tools in relationships to achieve great results. She is passionate about relationships because she knows they can be messy and difficult to maintain. Healthy relationships lead to greater contentment, joy, and inner well-being.

Ginger started her mission of improving relationships at Abuse Recovery Ministry and Services (ARMS), in Spokane, Washington. She was the Regional Director for Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Her responsibilities included:

  • Serving the courts as a trained domestic violence advocate
  • Leading abuse recovery groups for victims of domestic abuse
  • Leading and maintaining a domestic violence perpetrator treatment program (certified by the State of Washington)
  • Leading domestic violence parenting classes
  • Holding training sessions for faith community leaders, organizations, university and college programs, and the general community.
  • Training youth leaders to teach prevention programs.

Relationship Advantage was founded by Ginger Johnson in 2016. Relationship Advantage serves as a certified domestic violence treatment program as well as coaching to help individuals and organizations have returns on relationship investment. Whether meeting one on one, in a group, or as an organization, she will help strengthen bonds through a mix of coaching, mediation, and consulting. Relationship Advantage focuses on:

  • Operating as a Certified Domestic Violence Treatment Program
  • Coaching and consulting to help individuals and organizations to have returns on relationship investment
  • Supervises the Certified Domestic Violence Treatment Program as well as Individual Evaluator through the Federal Prison system, Department of Corrections, Spokane County Superior Court, Spokane District and Municipal Court Probation, and Department of Children, Youth and Families, and facilitates groups
  • Serving as an Agency Affiliated Counselor with Washington State DCYF
  • Previous Advocate for domestic violence victims under Memorandum of Understanding with Airway Heights and Cheney Municipal Courts
  • Specializing in dealing with mediation, conflict, divorce, communication, morale, anger management, and groups focused on trauma, as well as parenting
